* You can permanently remove Symbian's file system access restriction with Permanent Open4All add-on. To revert it, uninstall it from Settings > Installations > Installed menu and restart device

- If Web app doesn't open, create a folder named "fix_net" in E drive via File Manager and restart device.
- If menu icons missed, create a folder named "fix_menu" in E drive via File Manager and restart device.

RebornTube is a native-looking unofficial YouTube frontend using the S60Tube.io.vn backend. It installs as standalone app and can be launched from launcher like other applications. It was developed for Symbian 3 devices and tested only on them.

RebornTube uses S60Tube.io.vn backend for playing videos. Thanks to its developers.

Backup & Restore app updated to v2.00!

Backup & Restore app developed by symbuzzer for Reborn CFW to bring back missing Backup & Restore feature on Nokia E7. However, it is compatible with all Symbian 3 devices and firmwares.

Changelog:
- Removed python component of the app and added a native contact backup & restore solution
- Added prioritization of memory card (F) if available, otherwise using internal memory (E)
- Added backup and restore support for CenRep TXT files
- Fixed a bug that could cause conflicts during messaging backup and restore
- Renamed the "Backup&Restore" folder to "Backup2" and set it as hidden by default
- Removed Reboot binary and added a bit hacky but more native reboot method

Description
Backup & Restore application is based on the MiniCMD backup & restore mechanism in Delight CFW, which couldn't back up contacts. Also code structure is rewritten and cleaned a lot. Binaries are also totally modified. So Delight users can use it too. It is very lightweight and one-click solution.

Technical Analysis: How do OTA updates work in Reborn?

OTA updates can be downloaded as SIS files via the built-in SW Update application. Once installation is complete, update will be automatically installed when device restarts. If necessary, device will restart, and a notification will be displayed.

Note: For security reasons, Reborn does not have a pre-installed restart mechanism like other CFWs. This will be provided with update package and will disappear once update is complete.

SIS file will temporarily install files that need to be changed on firmware to a location accessible to OTA updater program. When device restarts, OTA updater program will perform the necessary operations to copy these files to relevant locations. (These operations include terminating running processes, deleting old files and other related files, etc.) If necessary, device will restart, and a warning will be displayed to user.

With OTA updates; CenRep files, source files and possibly binary files (still under testing) can be updated without need for BEST application and computer. Additionally, it will be possible to modify some protected applications like Swype.

OTA updates are no different from installing a third-party application. Therefore, as long as you know what you are installing, you are unlikely to encounter a security breach.

Development process is ongoing and mapsserver.sis "CenRep" OTA package and swype_patch "shadowing" OTA package have been prepared and successfully tested for testing purposes. If requested by Reborn users and known developers, N8 beta firmware file and OTA packages will be shared with them. Users are also welcome to share any reasonable suggestions and ideas.

Reborn's OTA update system has been improved!
(Available with the new update to be released on 01/04/2026)

Now, CenRep files and many other components in Z partition can be updated via OTA. This will significantly reduce the need to use BEST. Additionally, a new component of the OTA system, "Shadowing," will allow us to silently patch many protected applications like Swype.

Currently, new beta firmware update is installed on my device for testing and after 2 days of testing, no problems have been observed
